I am a freelance make-up artist with over twenty years experience available for weddings, proms, graduations, special events, make-up lessons and parties.
I cover all of South Wales, West Wales, and Gloucestershire and have travelled to Bath, Somerset, Cornwall and Devon for weddings.
Based just outside Cardiff I am very flexible and willing to travel distances to your home or venue to meet your needs.

Make-up has always been such a passion of mine and I have been very fortunate to work with some incredibly talented hairdressers, photographers, models and make-up artists in the industry.
​I specialise in Bridal Make-up and I always consider it an honour to be involved in such an important day with a bride and her party, and will do everything I can to enable the preparations to flow as smoothly as possible.
I use a wide variety of quality make up products to help you achieve the desired look and I can give tips on how to keep your make-up looking great and lasting all day! ​​

ABOUT ME
After graduating from London College of Fashion, I returned to Wales and worked at the fabulous award winning Ken Picton Salon in Cardiff Bay. For twenty years I was resident make-up artist and through my journey I travelled the length and breadth of the UK with Ken and the team doing seminars, photo shoots and shows. I have also travelled Internationally Including Australia, Los Angeles, and Europe.
I worked on the Mobo Awards, BAFTA Cymru Awards, The Times Magazine, Woman and Woman's Own magazine. I also worked for several hair magazines national and international, including front covers, and voted National Hairdressing federation Make-up Artist of the year 2014.
I have co-ordinated the hair and make-up for hundreds of weddings, inside and outside of the salon, with bridal make-up being an absolute favourite of mine. I still work closely with Ken Picton Salon co-ordinating weddings.
My preferred style is enabling the bride to be the most glamorous and polished version of herself.

MAKE-UP LESSONS & PROMS
A prom is probably the most important and anticipated day in the life of a sixteen year old girl! So along with hair, dress, nails etc. make-up is a huge part of the whole look. ​Whether you prefer natural and light, glam and smokey theres a look for everyone.
Do you have a special event, wedding or party to attend? I can apply your make-up ​in the comfort of your home or venue so all you have to do is dress! Stress free and make-up that lasts. Lips will be the only thing to touch up through the evening as it is of course high maintenance.
Do you need to update your look or or your make-up bag? A make up lesson will help you learn or improve techniques such as contouring or eyeliner application, and take the fear away, giving you the confidence to recreate the look.
WEDDINGS
Weddings are the most magical mornings to be involved with. The excitement, nerves and happiness in the room is what it is all about! It’s wonderful to be part of such an important day, with each and every bride and I leave on a high. From the time we connect, to the last application of lipstick after dressing, I’m available to help guide you through with advice, information, recommendations time schedules, and experience.
Through consultation on the trial date (recommended appox 6-8 weeks before the wedding) we can discover likes, dislikes, lashes, no lashes and the style of make-up you would like.
I can create a bespoke look for you and your Bridal party.

I love contributing something extra to a bride and her party. I'll be there all morning until you dress and for those extra last minute touch ups. I know you are looking for something special on your big day and together we can create the perfect look —  I use high quality and long lasting makeup that will truly leave you glowing with radiance, and last all day. Right now is the perfect time for a make-up Lesson. During our session you will pick up hints and tips, learn new skills and techniques, and take away product recommendations to create yourself.

Lara is the perfect person to have around on your wedding day! From the very first message, throughout the trials and on the day she is kind, helpful and extremely talented! Lara listens to your ideas or in my case, my lack of (!) and talks you through different shades and tones that go together and compliment your skin tone. During the make up trial, Lara felt like an old friend as she is so easy to chat to and has a real calming effect which is much needed, especially on a busy wedding day morning! The only downside is not having Lara available to do your make up every day!!! �
